Personal Daily Horoscope

During this period you are likely to proceed with considerable caution, which has both good and difficult effects. You are much more conscious than usual of the distinctions between things, making it hard to see the "forest for the trees." This extends to your attitudes toward others, so that you may be inclined to concentrate on people's negative characteristics and to overlook their positive traits. On the positive side, this influence can give you great intellectual precision. If you have to do any work that requires extreme precision of thought and planning, now is the time. It will work especially well if you have previously outlined the general plan and left the detailed planning until now.

Mannix in a cemetery.

Night Gallery
In 1969, NBC aired a Serling-penned pilot for a new series, Night Gallery. Set in a dimly lit museum, the pilot film featured Serling (as on-camera host) introducing three tales of the macabre, unveiling canvases that would appear in the subsequent story segments.
The series, which premiered in December 1970 (its brief first season rotated as one spoke of a four-series programming wheel titled Four in One), focused more on gothic horror and the occult than did The Twilight Zone. Serling, no longer wanting the burden of an executive position, sidestepped an offer to retain creative control of content — a decision he would come to regret. Although discontented with some of producer Jack Laird's script and creative choices, Serling maintained a stream of creative submissions and ultimately wrote over a third of the series' scripts.
By season three however, Serling began to see many of his script contributions rejected. With his complaints ignored, the disgruntled host dismissed the show as "Mannix in a cemetery."
Night Gallery lasted until 1973.
While the series has its own cult following, it is not as successful as The Twilight Zone and is generally regarded, sometimes unfairly,[citation needed] as a pale shadow of Serling's previous series.

Photographer of the Year

It just dawned on me.

I noted, and believe me, I noted, how a few of the names in photography got their start via Uncle Andy. That, coupled with the somewhat obvious fact that Freddie never sat for Robert...

Seems I have a photo of Freddie from back in the day, just like having a photo or something of Andy from back in the day.

I hear, though, and to my regret, that Freddie was exceptionally welcoming to his fans after his shows, hosting, as it were, in his dressing room.

Alright, we're gonna go to commercial...

How does a reality show go to commercial?
Or is a reality show the suspension of commercialism?
or something like that.

Tila, you're my everything...

Oh. Forgot.

Now? I've seen it all.
And yes, it did involve the use of the word "dildo" in some way, shape, or form.

I Believe in Father Christmas

They said there'll be snow at Christmas,
They said there'll be peace on earth,
But instead it just kept on raining,
A veil of tears for the Virgin birth.

I remember one Christmas morning,
The Winter's light and a distant choir,
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell,
And eyes full of tinsel and fire.

They sold me a dream of Christmas,
They sold me a silent night,
They told me a fairy story,
'Til I believed in the Israelite.

And I believed in Father Christmas,
And I looked to the sky with excited eyes,
Then I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn,
And I saw him and through his disguise.

I wish you a hopeful Christmas,
I wish you a brave New Year,
All anguish, pain and sadness,
Leave your heart and let your road be clear.

They said there'd be snow at Christmas,
They said there'd be peace on earth,
Hallelujah! Noel!, be it Heaven or Hell,
The Christmas we get, we deserve.

Now the photographer’s estate has presented this intimate chronicle of Arbus’s life — her complete archives — to the Met as a gift, along with hundreds of early and unique photographs; negatives and contact prints of 7,500 rolls of film; and hundreds of glassine print sleeves that she personally annotated before her death by suicide in 1971.

Jeff L. Rosenheim, curator in the Met’s department of photographs, predicted that the archive would be an enormous boon to scholars. “Generally this kind of material doesn’t survive the artist,” he said.

Unlike the belongings of artists who fade gradually from view, which are sometimes scattered, pilfered or lost, Arbus’s effects were in some ways frozen in time when she committed suicide at 48.

Who you are (valid during many months)

The effects of this influence are not always spectacular, but if you watch carefully, you will notice that there are all kinds of new and stimulating happenings in your life. It is not running along in the usual manner. But the changes and the unexpected events are not especially disturbing to you. Instead they open up new understandings and opportunities and give you a feeling that life still has some excitement and potential for growth.

Opportunities may come about through friends, or they may simply pop up in some other area of your everyday environment. You may become involved with a new group of people who live in a way that you hadn't thought possible before. You may be attracted to new philosophies and new techniques for managing your life. This is one of the influences under which people begin to study astrology.

All of these events are expressing your desire for greater freedom of self-expression. During this time you have the opportunity to gain greater control over your life and to make it a better vehicle for what you want to do. Any relationship that begins under this influence will be an expression of this fact, and even old relationships will be changed so that they further your objectives. Opportunities for advancement in your work will come suddenly through relationships with your superiors.

All of this sounds like luck, but this influence actually is showing you that your life can be much more free and that your potentials are greater than you have realized. We all have a natural tendency to settle into comfortable ruts, which can be severely limiting. But the energy of this influence acts suddenly, so that you are forced to sit up and take notice. The purpose of this influence is to tell you who you are. It is not giving you anything you haven't earned.
