Mental work
Mars Sextile Mercury; exact at 16:08
activity period from 13 March 2009 – 15 March 2009
This is an excellent time for all kinds of mental work, especially if you have to plan a future course of action with decisiveness and firmness. You will be in a positive mood and have great confidence in your position, which will enable you to make a positive impression and probably convince people of your point of view. This influence also favors working with others in a cooperative planning venture. You can make plans together or hash out differences of opinion in such a way that you make your point without anyone else feeling threatened. This is a good time for traveling in connection with your work. Because your energy level is high, you are restless to get things done. During this couple of days you will feel confident of yourself, your ideas and the effect you make when talking with people.

SPANISH WORD OF THE DAY: JUICY
Hey man, I'm looking for Paco, tell me if juicy him!
Time flies when you're wearing drag!

What's really funny about this is that some twenty-two (22!) years ago, I planted myself on the sidewalk HOURS ahead of anyone,
and by the time the limos and all the drag celebutantes got there, I had already established myself as "the" photographer of the event.
I'll have to dig out some of the photos. I was really surprised how great a number of them turned out.

Studio 54|The Disconet Remixes

REPOSTED LINKS!!!

Disconet Remixes
DISCONET was part of a New York based company called Sugarscoop - created as subscription program service with professionally selected and mixed disco music for discotheque DJs, mobile discos and radio stations. Program content was selected by DISCONET DJs from new disco releases made available by Record Companies which have licensed DISCONET to provide the service.
DISCONET is called as the "Granddaddy" of all remix services and provided mixed/segued DJ dance sets, not only to make the DJs job a little bit easier, but to expose club goers to new music. The DJs spinning at the height of the disco era were given access to a new creative tool - a different interpretation of current dance tunes to wow club goers.
Disconet's founder Mike 'captain' Wilkinson presented his project during the "Billboard Disco III Forum". His concern was to start a service featuring specially remixed records including unreleased songs as well as hit medleys were to be released on 12" vinyl records. Originally, the Disconet records were to be issued on a monthly basis. Only a limited number 1000 - 1500 copies of each issue was available.
The first Disconet record was released in October 1977. Disconet team at that time was: Tom Savarese, Bobby DJ Guttadaro and Kevin Guilmet as well as Mike Wilkinson. Tom, Bobby and Kevin were DJ legends, who had already been awarded with the "DJ Of The Year" title by Billboard. During the very first year every record consisted of club hits mixed together and each side would run for some 15 to 20 minutes.
