Try Walking in My Shoes

I would tell you about the things
They put me through
The pain Ive been subjected to
But the lord himself would blush
The countless feasts laid at my feet
Forbidden fruits for me to eat
But I think your pulse would start to rush

Now Im not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes

Morality would frown upon
Decency look down upon
The scapegoat fates made of me
But I promise you, my judge and jurors
My intentions couldnt have been purer
My case is easy to see

Im not looking for a clearer conscience
Peace of mind after what Ive been through
And before we talk of repentance
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Now Im not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes

Now Im not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

Unrequited and Unknown.

I can't say "unrequited" because it's really "unknown." Maybe it is "known" but not to the extent of what I feel. I googled "silhouette" and found something close to what I wanted because I couldn't use what I had, and felt this would do. Sometimes I think two broken hearts are meant to spend their lives together, in spite of how they were broken, and despite their differences.
I still live for "the moment" but it's a different kind of moment, and it's a moment which, ironically, fuels me. I have to live for these moments, until they carry me to another type of moment, a moment which, at this moment, is totally unknown.

Buddy Pics

For entirely different reasons,
each of these movies resonates with me, deeply.
The parallels between BROKEBACK and GALLIPOLI cannot be denied.
And the parallels between Friedkin's CRUISING and THE EXORCIST
cannot be ignored.
